Lie under a cascading waterfall of twinkling fibre optics

Watch butterflies flutter and moonbeams bounce off the walls

Swim on a rippling ocean of deep blue satin

Feel a hedgehog wiggle and a little yellow duck shake

Experience sensory massage with soothing vibration

Explore baskets of treasures hand selected for little people .......... this isn't just Play.

If you are looking for a less structured and more organic play experience, allowing your baby to explore the kind of sensory equipment usually only found in the most specialist of schools or care centres, at their own pace,  these sessions are just for you.  This truly unique course, the first of it's kind in the local area,  provides the same fantastic quality,  empathy and high quality props which you have come to expect from Lazy Daisy but in a more 'self directed' format.

We begin with some massage/yoga inspired songs and end with a relaxation but the rest of the session is yours to enjoy and explore with your baby.  You can be as active or as relaxed as you chose and we guarantee, the more you put in .... the more you both get out!

Complimentary tea, fruit tea, herbal blends and coffee is of course available for tired mums and sessions are led by our qualified massage and yoga tutors, so there is plenty of opportunity to pick their brains.

Babies communicate in an actual Lazy Daisy class (thanks to Jo at Myriad Photo)

Our sensory classes work to support this 'SureStart Framework' as we plan, organise and offer differing and unique sensory activities to develop a strong and healthy child.

1 hour of pure wonderment & exploration.

Fibre optics will twinkle around your baby. Bubbles will ripple and blow.

Beautiful images project around the room and aroma fragrances waft into the background

Play silks, Canapies and 'Silk Scapes' enable you to crawl under, over or lie beneath!

Or you can just chill out on an humungous bean bag or in the ball pool.

Sensory tubs allow baby to enjoy things which make

music, create noise, vibrate, feel soft etc.    Stepping stones play music.

Traditional wicker 'treasure baskets' provide feely play (for little fingers, toes and mouths!)

Mirror trays give play a whole new dimension!  Cogs and wheels encourage hand/eye co-ordination.

Most importantly these sessions are about understanding.  Babies learn through experience and

experience through touching, tasting, hearing, smelling and seeing the world around.

It's certainly a marked trend!  Come to Baby Sensory and watch as your baby learns, explores and then sleeps for 2 hours afterwards!!!  That has to be worth £5 a session (and you get a complimentary cuppa too)

"Really enjoyed the sensory play class - thought the pace was just right and yes, I thought it was good value for money - C. was obviously very stimulated by it as he subsequently fell asleep for 2 1/2 hours afterwards which he hardly ever does during the day! "  03/07 (KB)

"I enjoyed the class and found it a relaxing pace.  I found it very interesting to see how A. reacted to different things.  He was very excited by some things (the silver blanket in particular!).  A. was very tired afterwards from all the new experiences and excitement." 03/07 (KF)

"Really enjoyed the sensory class, I. seemed to enjoy it too and I'm sure as the weeks go by she'll begin to explore all the things more and more. I enjoyed the relaxed pace and nice to be able to chat to the other mums at the same time. I. was very relaxed after the class (she was asleep at the end and slept for 2 hours afterwards)!" (HA)

"It was fab! H. slept brilliantly later on and was really alert all afternoon. We use a lot of the equipment at work for the children at the hospice, so it was really good to see able bodied children using it and responding so well." (JC)
